Yvonne Burgu Award
This award is in collaboration between Marr Mooditj Training and the Zonta club of Perth and honours the memory of the late Yvonne Burgu, senior Ngarinyin Law woman from the Gibb River Community in the Kimberly region of Western Australia.
The Zonta Club of Perth commemorates her life of community service by offering up to four awards to Aboriginal women who have accomplished positive outcomes and gained skills and knowledge that will contribute towards building stronger communities across Western Australia.
This monetary award recognizes students for their achievements and provides financial assistance to help them transition into the workforce.
Eligibility
-
is of Aboriginal or Torre straight descent and living in Western Australia
-
is currently enrolled student of Marr Mooditj training in certificate IV ATSI PHC practice course
-
Have an attendance rate of 90% or above

Have completed all mandatory work placement requirements of the course

be eligible to graduate in 2023
